As a young 12 year-old, David started with the Club in the late 60’s as a keen 12th man in the senior team. He went on to play 274 games and played in all four senior teams.

David was Captain or vice-captain for 15 seasons in the 2nd XI, 3rd XI and 4th XI; and featured in 3 Premiership teams – 1972/73, 1977/78 and 1983/84.

His wily bowling netted a total of 308 wickets at an average of just 16.12.

David was Club President for 3 years and served on the Committee for many seasons, taking an active part in all aspects of the Club and always encouraging team members.

David now has the 3rd Xl “MVP” trophy named in his honour.
