Mark commenced playing at the U/12 level in 1975/76, and after 6 seasons as a Junior he entered Senior ranks. He played a total of 34 consecutive seasons, totalling 269 senior and 58 junior games.

Mark has been a stalwart of the Club on and off the field, taking on roles as Club Secetary for 5 seasons, Treasurer for 6 seasons, and also Club Delegate to the S.S.C.C.A.

Mark’s passion was as a Junior Coach where he made a valuable contribution for 10 seasons, culminating in back to back flags with the U/14’s in 1988/89 and 1989/90. He also coached U/16’s, U/14’s and U/12’s at Association level, the latter winning the Mitchell Shield in 1987/88. Mark was also a member of the 1st XI Premiership team of 1992/93.

Everyone associated with the Club was saddened at Mark’s passing in 2011 after his battle with cancer. The Club and League have named awards in Mark’s honour.
