Alan commenced playing in the 1965/66 season and finished in 1986/87 season. In his second year he won the 1st XI bowling award and as an opening bowler took a total of 386 wickets, a Club record which stood for 20 seasons beyond his retirement.

He scored 3094 runs in his 185 games.

His best performance with the ball was match figures of 13/63 in 1972/73 which is the current record for the Second XI

Alan made a valuable contribution as Club Treasurer for 8 consecutive seasons and established a sound financial basis which has continued to the current day.

Alan returned to the club in 2010 to assist in coaching the under 15 team for two seasons. He is also a regular attendant at the clubs annual general meetings.
