Shane started at the Club as an U/14 player in 1984/85.

‘Macca’ is considered one of the Club’s top allrounders and has been Club Champion on 5 occasions. He has Captained the 1st XI for 4 seasons and has been a 1st XI Premiership player three times.

Macca has the distinction of playing the most senior/junior/vets club games (396), taking the most wickets (670) and second in runs scored (7971).

Shane has served as President, Deputy President, Chairman of Selectors, Match Committee Chairman, Assistant Junior Coach and completed a number of seasons heading our successful social program.

Shane has the distinction of being the first player from the Club to win the coveted ‘Ian Field’ Medal as the best performer in Shield Grade. He has also played in three Carnival teams and was selected in the Leagues 2001/02 Centenary side. He also won the S.S.C.C.A. Junior Player of the Year Award as an U/14 in 1985/6.

Shane was selected in the Club’s “All Star” teams Seniors and Juniors which in itself is an outstanding achievment.

Shane was Captain of the inaugural Vets team of 2018/19.

Shane now has the 1st Xl MVP trophy named in his honour.
