Jon came to the Club in the 1987/88 season after playing U/16 cricket with Melbourne High School. In his third season (1989/90), Jon won the 2nd XI Batting Award and was also runner-up in the Club Championship.

After coaching the U/14 team in 1990/91, Jon missed the next three seasons whilst working in Broome, W.A. On his return to the Club, Jon has served in the roles of Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Social Convenor and served as a Committee Member for 16 seasons.

Jon captained the 1st XI for two seasons, won the 1st XI Batting Award in four consecutive seasons and was runner-up as Club Champion twice more. His significant contribution to the Club was also recognised during this time, receiving three President’s Awards.

Jon ‘retired’ as a player after the 2003/04 season, but continued in his role as Treasurer until 2010/11.

In 2004, Jon completed the monumental task of compiling the Club’s valued compendium of all Senior Club Records and Senior Club statistics.

Jon is also a Vets player.
